The deadline for stories and photographs for the Marlborough 150th anniversary book is rapidly approaching, says editorial team member Leo McKendry.
The book will acknowledge a century and a half of life in Marlborough since the province cut ties with neighbouring Nelson.
Contributions have been sought from throughout the community for the book, which is being edited by Marlborough author Cynthia Brooks and supported by an editorial team including Mr McKendry and Dave Olliver.
Mr McKendry said they were still waiting on some contributions.
"If you have been asked to supply stories or photos for this publication, we need to have this by the end of July to meet our production deadlines."
Putting together the book had been challenging, particularly choosing which photos to use, Mr Olliver said.
"Just when you think you have the perfect photo, another one comes to light."
Mynx Graphic Design is developing the layout design, while Blenheim Print will produce the book.
The book was expected to be more than 350 pages long, Mr McKendry said.
