Police hope to spot taggers who left their mark on buildings and cars in Blenheim overnight when they review CCTV footage today.

Taggers sprayed black graffiti over the walls of the Blenheim Police Station, Poppy Thai restaurant, the Post Office building, the vacant old Smith City building, Top Town Cinema, Marlborough Lines, PGG Wrightsons and Crafar and Crouch Construction.

Two cars in the Kinross St carpark were also tagged with initials, scribbles and a rude message to police.

Constable Michelle Stagg, of Blenheim, said the tagging was likely done between 8.30pm and 11pm.

Police were very keen to hear from anyone with information about the graffiti. The offending would have been caught on CCTV cameras in town and police were today reviewing footage, Miss Stagg said.

Tagging can be reported to the Marlborough District Council by calling 0800 NOTATAG, (0800 668 2824). Miss Stagg said council would help remove the tags.
