Cafe on market
Leanne Wilson and Steve Cattermole are selling Cafe @ the Park near Seymour Square in Blenheim, after running it for a year, to concentrate on their catering business Posh Nosh Marlborough. Ms Wilson said there had been a lot of interest in the cafe since it had been on the market. Ms Wilson and Mr Cattermole plan to build a commercial kitchen for the catering business at a Renwick property they have bought. The property will be the new home of both the family and their business. Ms Wilson said the flexibility of the catering business only was easier for their young family.
Agents' study pays off
Rhonda Stewart and Bev Hodgetts, two Harcourts Marlborough real estate agents, have been upskilling in their spare time over the past 12 months and achieved the National Certificate in Real Estate Residential Sales through the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand. Mrs Hodgetts said she and Mrs Stewart decided to do the 17-paper qualification to stay ahead of the industry.
Takeaway to open
A fish, chip and burger shop is opening this week next to the High Street Store in Blenheim. High Street Takeaways will be opened by the owner of the High Street Store, Warryn Hart. Mr Hart was born and raised in Blenheim and has owned the dairy for six months. The takeaway will be open from 4.30pm to 8.30pm.
Jade business closes
Mountain Jade Picton closed last week. The owner of the shop on High St in Picton which sold greenstone carvings and other items could not be reached for comment yesterday.
