The first of two World Health Organisation (WHO) Safe Communities meetings is to be held at the Clubs of Marlborough in Alfred St, Blenheim, on Thursday from 1pm to 3.30pm.
The meetings allow a collaborative approach to promoting and building a strong sense of community safety and anyone is invited to discuss community safety issues and identify areas of concern.
Among those involved are the Marlborough District Council, ACC, churches, public health and Marlborough Chamber of Commerce.
Individuals and other groups will have the opportunity to determine which areas of safety should become the focus for action.
The second meeting is at St Johns in Seymour St, Blenheim, Wednesday, May 16, 7pm to 9pm.
