Student councillors at Bohally Intermediate School are on a two-day leadership camp at Omaka Marae, in Blenheim.

The students were involved in a range of activities to help build their leadership skills.

Principal Andrew Read said the camp was based around Stephen Covey's book Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens.

The book aims to educate teenagers on qualities such as planning and prioritising, being proactive and working with others.
