A spate of trailer thefts around Marlborough during the past three months have led police to ask for help on their Facebook page.
Constable Andrew Holdaway, of Blenheim, said four trailers have been stolen from different spots around the Marlborough area during the past three months, including Renwick, Waihopai Valley, Shakespeare Bay and Blenheim.
But that number is not particularly high, as about one trailer is stolen a month, Mr Holdaway said.
"The problem is that people don't secure them, and just leave them on the side of the road," he said.
"For a dishonest person, they're quite easy to get."
