Arrests A 32-year-old vineyard worker was arrested at 3.25am on Friday for assaulting a female, injuring with intent and threatening to kill after a domestic incident in Riversdale, police say.
He was also charged with driving with a breath alcohol level of 539 micrograms of alcohol per litre of breath (the legal limit is 400mcg), constable Michelle Stagg, of Blenheim, said.
The man was to appear in Blenheim District Court on Friday.
Five more people were arrested on Thursday.
An 18-year-old student was arrested at 9.35pm for breaching bail, namely his curfew condition.
A 41-year-old labourer was arrested at 10.10pm for breaching the liquor ban and possessing cannabis.
A 40-year-old vineyard worker was arrested at 12.30am on a fines warrant. He was to appear in Blenheim District Court today.
A 34-year-old student was arrested at 12.40am for assault after an incident in Kinross St, Blenheim. He was to appear in Blenheim District Court on October 8.
A 17-year-old unemployed youth was arrested at 2am for disorderly behaviour after stones were thrown at a house in Seddon. He was issued a pre-charge warning, Miss Stagg said.
