A woman escaped uninjured after the car she was driving rolled into a ditch and flipped over in Riverlands on Tuesday night, police say.
The woman, the only occupant in the car, was treated at the scene by St John Ambulance and taken home by police, said constable Andrew Holdaway, of Blenheim police.
The crash happened about 6.40pm when the grey Toyota Starlet car left the road and rolled into a ditch on State Highway 1 between Hardings Rd and Cloudy Bay Drive. The car ended up on its roof but the woman managed to get out and was not injured, Mr Holdaway said.
Two dogs were also in the car however, neither were injured.
Blenheim deputy fire officer Dion Partridge said two appliances arrived at the scene to assist ambulance and ensure the scene was safe. Mr Holdaway said police are investigating the cause of the accident.
