Police are asking for information from the public after firearms were stolen in a burglary near Renwick on Friday afternoon.

Several firearms were taken from a secure lockup in a house on a vineyard in Middle Renwick Rd, police say.

They want information from anyone in the area near the Argosy Bar and Cafe, at Woodbourne just north of Renwick, between 1pm and 4pm.

Police believe the offenders may have parked a vehicle on the main highway during the burglary.

They want information about parked vehicles or other suspicious activity in the area and would also be interested to hear about anyone who has just come into possession of a quantity of firearms.

Contact Blenheim police or to give information anonymously, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
