Police are still investigating the confrontation between two teenagers and a golfer in Blenheim at the weekend.
Constable Andrew Holdaway, of Blenheim, said the continuing investigation was to ensure police had a clear picture of the incident.
One of the teenagers has been charged with disorderly behaviour.
Police had not decided whether the second teenager or the golfer involved in the confrontation will be charged at this stage, Mr Holdaway said.
The fight occurred on Lybster St on Saturday when a confrontation between 17-year-old Zaiden Farmer and a friend and an unknown man escalated into violence, during which Mr Farmer was hit with a golf club.
Girls arrested Two teenage girls were arrested on Wednesday after jewellery and stockings were taken from Farmers about 12.30pm.
Mr Holdaway said the girls, both 15, had left the store and were found by police nearby and had been referred to Youth Aid.
Police arrested two more people on Wednesday.
