The fundraising auction for the family of former Isabel Vineyard accountant Aaron Biggs raised nearly $12,000 for his family, Isabel Vineyards revealed on its Facebook account yesterday.
The auction, held on Friday night, was to celebrate his life and raise money for wife Melissa and three-year-old daughter Lily after Mr Biggs, 31, died in September from aggressive colon and liver cancer the month before.
The auction and dinner was held on Friday night at the Clubs of Marlborough main hall. About 150 people attended and more than 40 items were auctioned.
Isabel Vineyards thanked people on Facebook yesterday.
"This amazing effort has allowed us to raise nearly $12,000 for Melissa and Lily Biggs. Thank you everyone," they said.
