Forestry worker airlifted to hospital

A forestry worker suffered an arm injury yesterday when he was hit by a tree in a Marlborough forest.

St John was alerted to the accident about 1.30pm and sent an ambulance and the Summit Rescue Helicopter to the scene.

The man suffered a possible broken arm in the accident in the Wairau North Forest. He was flown to Wairau Hospital, in Blenheim.
