Staff from two Marlborough bars are off to contest their pint-pouring skills as regional finalists in the upper South Island Guinness Pint Master 2012.
The owners of Seamus's Irish Bar in Picton, Alastair and Liz Hawthorne, and bar staff at Paddy Barry's Irish Pub in Blenheim, Rachel Crouch and Jacinta Sheridan, will see how their Guinness pint pouring skills measure up against three Christchurch duos at The Craic Irish Bar on Tuesday next week.
The winner goes through to the grand final in Auckland on December 4.
Mr Hawthorne said correct pouring angle, level of fill, settling time and head were part of "the perfect pour".
