Isabel Vineyards is hosting a picnic evening of comedy and live music at its scenic Hawkesbury Rd vineyard on February 8.

The event, named Amigos and Vinos, includes live acts from comedians Jeremy Elwood, Michele A'Court and Steve Wrigley, and music by reggae-funk group Sola Rosa and singer-songwriter Sarah Brown.

Isabel marketing and events manager Ruth Thompson said the event, restricted to those 18 and over, would be a great way to kick off the Marlborough Food and Wine Festival, which starts the following day. "Come along after work, bring a picnic rug and some friends, enjoy a few giggles and a boogie on the lawn."

Marlborough food and drinks will be available for purchase, including beer from Renaissance and wine from Isabel.

Tickets are $39, plus booking fee, and are available from Marlborough Floor Pride Civic Theatre and online at Ticket Direct.
