A tandem trailer worth $6500 was stolen from the Blenheim Transfer Station in Wither Rd overnight on Wednesday, police say.
Constable Andrew Holdaway, of Blenheim, said the lock securing the trailer was cut by the offender.
The trailer had been purpose-built to carry 200 litre drums.
It was the fourth trailer to be stolen in the past month, Mr Holdaway said. Four trailers were also stolen around Marlborough earlier in the year between July and September.
Police reminded people to make sure their trailers were secured and unable to be removed from the property.
Anyone with information about the stolen trailers is asked to call Blenheim police on 03 578 5279.
Three other incidents were also reported to police last week.
One of them involved a break-in at a studio in Monro St, Blenheim, which occurred overnight on Wednesday. It was not known if anything was taken, Mr Holdaway said.
