A 51-year-old man was arrested in Blenheim early on Sunday morning after a car drove through a fence in Hale St then drove away, police say.

The spraypainter was arrested at 12.40am in Keiss St for failing to accompany an officer.

Police arrested four more people at the weekend:

A 21-year-old male teacher was arrested at 8.40pm on Friday for driving while disqualified.

A 35-year-old woman was arrested for breaching the peace in Budge St early on Saturday morning.

A 19-year-old unemployed man was arrested at 11.40pm on Saturday in Scott St after police saw him removing stormwater grates and placing them in the middle of the road.

A 22-year old man was arrested at 3.40am on Sunday for fighting outside Fairweathers in Scott St.
