Another 25 Boulevard lots for sale
The second stage of the Marlborough District Council subdivision Boulevard Park on Taylor is set to go ahead, with 25 sections for sale.
The lots in Taylor Pass Rd at the foot of the Wither Hills Farm Park, south of Blenheim, were put on the market on Thursday by Harcourts Marlborough, which took over the contract to market the properties on November 1.
The latest stage is on the eastern side of Taylor Pass Rd, extending from the first stage.
Harcourts agent Ben Macky is managing the Boulevard property sales. He will move into a Harcourts office in Redwoodtown on January 7.
Mr Macky said there had been inquiries from private buyers and the building sector, as well as out-of-town people.
"We've seen a change in demand for sections in Blenheim, but there is a massive shortage of available sections and no areas earmarked for subdivision in the long-term plan."
The average size of the sections is 800 square metres, and 11 of them back on to the Wither Hills Farm Park, he said.
Offers are being accepted until December 12, and section prices will be set next year, he said.
Council subsidiary MDC Holdings owns and manages Boulevard Park on Taylor and plan eventually to develop up to 350 sections along Taylor Pass Rd.
