Police are looking for a man who stole money from a Blenheim service station on Sunday and rode away on a bicycle.
Constable Andrew Holdaway, of Blenheim, said the man entered the Challenge service station in Queen St at 12.30pm. The forecourt attendant was busy and the shop was unattended when the man went behind the counter and took money.
The man was seen getting on a bicycle and riding away, Mr Holdaway said. He is described as being of stocky build with shaved or very short hair with a tuft of hair at the back of his head, and wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with a blue jacket over the top, baggy blue jeans, and dark wrap sunglasses.
Anyone with information regarding this incident should contact Blenheim police on 03 578 5279.
