New Zealand's best talent on tenterhooks
They have sung, danced and juggled and now, along with the rest of New Zealand, they wait.
Public voting closed at noon today for the popular talent show New Zealand's Got Talent. The overall winner will be announced during the final of the show on TV One on Sunday at 7.30pm.
According to Nielsen Media Research figures, 800,000 people tuned in to watch the show at the weekend, where 12 contestants took their last chance to impress the judges in the competition which offers $100,000 in prizes.
Marlborough Girls' College student Clara van Wel impressed the judges with her haunting original song Where Do You Find Love, and received a standing ovation.
The 15-year-old appears to be in with a chance to take out the top prize.
Although Clara is the favourite to win, according to a Stuff online poll, public voting will decide the overall winner.
A TVNZ spokeswoman said yesterday all 12 of the show finalists will be in the final episode.
However, only the overall winner will perform, along with some crowd favourites who have already left the series.
UB 40 singer and judge Ali Campbell will perform.
