Spring Creek Playcentre hosted a coffee and cupcake day on Wednesday last week, with loads of fun had by young and old.
"We all got busy baking cupcakes - the kids included. My daughter loved decorating them, making lots of pink ones, and then of course they all loved eating them," said Spring Creek Playcentre president Jane Dowd.
We had visitors from Renwick Playcentre, Tua Marina School principal Cheryl Wadworth, Spring Creek pastor Derek Harding as well as loads of friends and past members.
"The children all sang their karakia before tucking into their morning tea of fruit and pikelets."
The weather was so good that a game of hula soon had to include races through the sprinkler, with all the kids getting soaked.
Spring Creek Playcentre held a barbecue fundraiser on November 18 at Bunnings and would like to thank Bunnings for the opportunity, Spring Creek 4 Square for donating the ketchup and mustard and Brumbys Blenheim for donating the bread - all proceeds going into the centre.
"We are also going to hold another barbecue fundraiser at The Warehouse on December 2, with a raffle of a rocking horse, beautifully hand crafted by one of our member's grand fathers."
