The company behind Tohu Wines has added another vineyard to its expanding business.
Kono Beverages, which owns two Marlborough vineyards, last week bought an Awatere Valley vineyard that includes four hectares of pinot noir wines and a seven-year-old winery.
Chief executive Mike Brown said in a statement the winery had consent to produce 6000 tonnes of wine, and Kono plans to expand the plant so third party winemakers could use the space.
The Marlborough-based company also owns a vineyard in Nelson.
