Removing sign

A 42-year-old male vineyard worker was arrested on Friday after police saw him trying to remove a give way sign on Lakings Rd, in Blenheim.

He was arrested at 1.40am for disorderly behaviour, resisting arrest and assaulting police and is due to appear in Blenheim District Court today.

Shoplifting charge

A 44-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting on Thursday after $180 of clothing was stolen from Postie Plus in Blenheim.

Police searched the woman's house after she was identified on CCTV and two pairs of stolen jeans were recovered.

The woman was arrested and is to appear in Blenheim District Court on December 17.
