A Picton teenager has admitted threatening another with a knife to steal drugs from him.
Saxton James McGee, 18, admitted a charge of aggravated robbery when he appeared in Blenheim District Court yesterday.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Mark Harris said McGee and Justin Edward Whakarau agreed to rob the teenager after he offered to sell them party pills while the trio were on the Bluebridge ferry.
The pair met the victim at the Waitohi Domain, where McGee threatened him with the knife, stole the drugs, a cellphone and $50, he said.
In court yesterday, McGee admitted a charge of aggravated robbery and was remanded for sentencing on February 5.
Whakarau is due to be sentenced today.
