A Christchurch man suffering chest pains was airlifted from a bach in Tory Channel to Wairau Hospital in Blenheim yesterday.
The duty nurse manager at Wairau Hospital said the 51-year-old man was in a comfortable and stable condition.
He was being assessed, she said.
Westpac Rescue Helicopter crew member Logan Taylor said the crew was called to the scene around 11am. The man's condition was not serious, Mr Taylor said.
The helicopter was able to land in the front garden of the bach to collect the man, he said.
