Shoplifting arrest

A 14-year-old boy was arrested for shoplifting after three pairs of socks valued at $34 were taken from The Warehouse, in Blenheim, police say. The student was arrested at 7.35pm on Friday and the matter has been referred to Blenheim Youth Aid.

Breaches of bail

Two teenage boys were arrested on Friday for breaching their bail conditions by associating with each other. Police said the 15-year-old student and unemployed 16-year-old were arrested at 2.45pm. The matter has been referred to Blenheim Youth Aid.

Vehicle impounded

A vehicle has been impounded by police after a 25-year-old man was arrested for driving while disqualified. Police said the man was stopped by police on Grove Rd and arrested at 7.15pm on Friday and his vehicle was impounded. He is to appear in the Blenheim District Court.
