A 58-year-old Blenheim man was flown to Nelson Hospital today after falling down a steep bank in Marlborough.
Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter crewman Hamish Pirie said the man had moderate neck, head and leg injuries from the fall.
He was flown to hospital by the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter at 1.40pm after falling down the bank in the Waima River Valley, south of Ward.
The man was spotted by helicopter crew in the river bed at about 12.30pm and was treated onboard the helicopter by a
St John Intensive Care paramedic before being flown to Nelson Hospital.
A condition update was not available.
