"Absolutely everyone" is welcome to attend this year's Christmas community dinner at John's Kitchen tomorrow night, organiser Yvonne Dasler says.
Ham, turkey and all the trimmings are on the menu.
About 40 people visited the Koha Cafe each day, and up to 80 people attended the Wednesday night dinners.
Pensioners were lining up regularly for the bread giveaways that had been aimed at families with young children to use for school lunches, she said.
The rise in the cost of living, particularly the increase in fuel and electricity prices, was leaving people in need and cutting donations, she said.
"People give what they can, but they just don't have those few extra dollars now."
