The run of good Marlborough weather should continue through the Christmas period.
Grape growers and holiday-makers will be pleased the Met Service is forecasting warm, dry, sunny weather through until Friday next week, except for a few showers on Saturday morning.
Temperatures are expected to be in the top 20s throughout the week, with a high of 30 degrees centigrade forecast for December 25.
Climate consultant Stu Powell said he thought Marlborough might experience some hot and muggy weather as the remnants of Cyclone Evan drift down to the province early next week.
But concern over water shortages appears to be easing. A hydrologist has told the Marlborough Express that rivers have been refreshed by rain on Tuesday in the headwaters of the Wairau.
