A man who suffered suspected bends while diving at Tory Channel in the Marlborough Sounds was in a comfortable condition in Christchurch Hospital on Monday. A Canterbury District Health Board spokesman said the man's health was improving.
A Nelson Marlborough rescue helicopter crew picked up the 62-year-old man from Waikawa Bay near Picton about 4pm on Sunday after he was diving in Tory Channel.
