Dead woman 'gentle, caring'
The Picton woman who was found dead in her home on Sunday has been described by friends as a generous woman who adored her children.
Robyn Grace was found by police about 4.30pm on Sunday after neighbour Melinee Te Keeti called police when she heard screaming coming from the house.
Miss Te Keeti had lived next to Ms Grace for about 14 months and described her as "an awesome woman".
Ms Grace had offered to help Miss Te Keeti when she moved into the house opposite her.
They would chat over the fence that divided their property, she said.
"She was really chatty, really friendly," Miss Te Keeti said.
"She was generous, and offered to help whenever she could," Miss Te Keeti said.
Ms Grace seemed to stay at home a lot and didn't seem to work, but had become more active in the past few months, she said.
Miss Te Keeti said she often saw Ms Grace out in her yard and working on her garden but her biggest joy was her kids.
"She did a lot for her kids, she was always running around after them."
Another friend, who does not wish to be named, described Ms Grace as a lovely, gentle and caring lady.
"She had way too many bad hands dealt her but handled them all with a smile and offer to help others," she said.
"She adored and was proud of her kids."
However, court documents named her as 43-year-old Robyn Grace.
A man and a woman were arrested and appeared in the Blenheim District Court on Monday, charged with murder.
They were granted name suppression and remanded in custody to appear on January 28.
