Blenheim Playcentre, at 17 Eltham Rd, will be holding an open day, from 10am to 11.30am on Wednesday, January 30.

The open day is a chance to find out about the early childhood education experience that Playcentre can offer to both you and your whanau.
Playcentre is designed for families with children from birth to school age and offers half day weekday sessions of mixed age groupings, a variety of self-selected play activities and comprehensive quality equipment with a high adult to child ratios.
Playcentre see parents as the first and most important educators of their children and involving them is an important feature of Playcentre.
Every Playcentre adult is offered free adult education that will teach them the skills and confidence for parenting and working with children.
Play is encouraged both indoors and outside through a wide variety of activities. Through parent teams guiding and supporting children, they are introduced to the interests and skills of a wide range of parent-educators.
Through learning in a supportive play environment, children develop the curiosity and courage to try new things and the motivation to extend themselves.
Playcentres are co-operatively managed and supervised by parents with support from experienced personnel.
Playcentre is committed to being bicultural and encourage the use of te reo in Playcentre.
