Marlborough cuisine has been featured in a new cookbook written by a thrill-seeking TV presenter.
Catch And Cook with Adventure Aaron is a spin-off of the Catch and Cook TV show, an episode of which was filmed here last year.
Adventure Aaron, aka Aaron Carotta, visited the region in February when he was challenged by Marlborough chef Chris Fortune to track down certain ingredients.
The thrill-seeking American TV presenter was sent looking for crayfish in Cook Strait and salmon in the Marlborough Sounds.
Mr Fortune later presented a cooking master class with the ingredients at Brancott Estate Heritage Centre in Fairhall, and the recipes from that class are shared in the new book.
The 13-part TV series was filmed throughout New Zealand and aired on Sky's Food Channel.
The book includes a bonus DVD with behind the scenes footage from the show.
Carotta, originally from Florida, visited the region again when he was shooting scenes for another TV show Bucket Wish last year. The series made the dreams of cancer charity CanTeen members come true.
Two girls, who both had brothers with cancer, were treated to a night of rest and relaxation at Hapuku Lodge and Tree Houses near Kaikoura, where they made icecream with head chef and two-time MasterChef contestant Fiona Read.
Carotta said he was so impressed with Marlborough he even considered buying a house here when he first visited.
