A 49-year-old Danish tourist lost control of the vehicle he was driving in St Arnaud yesterday after being stung by a wasp.
Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter crewman Hamish Pirie said the man was flown to Nelson Hospital about 3.30pm.
He had been driving in the Nelson Lakes area when he was stung by a wasp, causing him to lose control of the vehicle which then rolled.
He had minor injuries.
The man was treated at the scene on board the helicopter before he was flown to Nelson.
The man's condition was not available.
