Waikawa Marae is inviting everyone to its Waitangi Day celebrations tomorrow.
The marae, on Waikawa Rd in Picton, will start the day with a powhiri at 10am followed by children's entertainment, live music and flax weaving until the mid-afternoon.
Iwi members will share stories about the marae and Maori culture.
Waitangi Day is an annual celebration of the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi, between English settlers and Maori chiefs, on February 6, 1840.
Hangi tickets cost $10 and entry in the car boot sale will cost $5. Please register interest before the event on 03 573 6921.
