A car driven by a 54-year-old woman skidded off the road and landed in a ditch on State Highway 1 near Weld Pass yesterday, a firefighter says.
Seddon Volunteer Fire Station chief fire officer Kieron Hebberd said one fire engine was called out to the crash near Seddon at 8.25am.
The woman was conscious after her red Suzuki Swift had partially rolled and come to a stop in the ditch. St John team operations manager Pete Davidson said the woman was the only person in the car.
She suffered minor chest and back injuries and was taken to Wairau Hospital in Blenheim.
