A 72-year-old man riding a motorbike suffered minor injuries when his bike and a car collided at Rapaura on Tuesday.
St John operations team leader Pete Davidson said the motorcycle hit the rear of a turning car on the intersection of Rapaura Rd and Giffords Rd about 1pm.
The man suffered minor shoulder, chest and arm injuries and was taken to Wairau Hospital.
A hospital spokeswoman said he had been treated and discharged. The driver of the car was uninjured.
