A 15-year-old Blenheim student was arrested on Tuesday night for breaching his Youth Court bail by associating with someone he was forbidden to see, Blenheim police said yesterday.

Constable Andrew Holdaway, of Blenheim, said the student was taken back to his mother's house in Blenheim and released into her care.

Youth Aid would follow up with this breach, he said.

In other incidents overnight, a 30-year-old unemployed man was arrested in Picton on a warrant for failing to appear in Blenheim District Court.

He was held in custody to appear in court yesterday morning.

A burglar alarm was set off when windows were smashed at a business premises in Opawa St just after midnight yesterday.

The premises were checked and it appeared no entry had been gained to the building.
