Richard Hayden appeared in the blenheim District Court on Tuesday charged with assault with intent to injure, assault, disorderly behaviour and breach of the Blenheim liquor ban. He had already admitted a charge of breaching the liquor ban and admitted the charges of disorderly behaviour and assault.
While in court Judge Hobbs granted Hayden 48 hours to look for his missing horse, Beautiful before he has to return to Christchurch where he has been living on bail.
Just as the 48 hours were coming to a close Hayden was seen taking Beautiful for a ride in Colemans Rd, Blenheim.
Hayden was pleased to have found Beautiful in such good condition. He didnt want to discuss where Beautiful had been living but thanked the caregivers and he hoped to send the horse to Kaikoura today.
