Two 17-year-old youths were arrested after being seen with a stolen bike, police say.
The pair were arrested about 5pm on Tuesday after the owner of the stolen bike saw one of the youths riding it, Constable Andrew Holdaway, of Blenheim, said.
Police were looking for two other young men involved in a burglary which took place earlier this month, Mr Holdaway said.
The two 17-year-olds were charged with burglary, receiving stolen property, trespass, and breaching bail.
They were held in custody to appear before the Blenheim District Court yesterday.
In other cases, a 55-year-old unemployed woman was arrested at a house in Faulkland Drive for offensive language. Police were called to the house to assist noise control officers about 1.45am yesterday.
The woman was held in custody and released with a pre-charge warning once she was sober.
A 15-year-old student was taken into police custody on Tuesday after several windows in his house were smashed, police said.
The teenager was taken to Wairau Hospital, in Blenheim, after he cut his foot on the broken glass.
He was taken into police care about 3pm. He has been referred to the police youth aid section, Mr Holdaway said.
