Emergency services were called a crash at the same intersection where two cars crashed yesterday

Two cars have collided this morning with one smashing into a fence at the same intersection as a crash yesterday just half-an-hour earlier.

The crash happened at the Weld St and Muller Rd intersection about 10.15am.

Senior Constable Richard van Asch, of Blenheim, said it appeared a woman driving a white Toyota west on Muller Rd failed to give way to a woman driving a red Mitsubishi travelling north on Weld St.

The white Toyota collided with the Mitsubishi and crashed into a fence on the corner of Muller Rd and Weld St.

Both drivers were alone in the car and neither had been seriously injured, Mr Van Asch said. Both woman were checked out by St John Ambulance at the scene.

Yesterday, an 84-year-old woman was taken to hospital after the car she was in collided with a Nissan sedan at the same intersection about 9.40am.

The woman driving the Nissan sedan was driving north along Weld St when the car she was in and the Nissan car driven by the elderly woman collided.
