Police arrested a 40-year-old woman for fighting early Sunday morning.

Constable Andrew Holdaway, of Blenheim, said the woman was released when sober with a pre-charge warning. She had been arrested on Scott St at 3.10am

Police arrested seven other people at the weekend.

* An 18-year-old man was arrested for trespassing at the Marlborough District Library on Sunday.

The student had had previously been trespassed from the area, Mr Holdaway said.

He is to appear in the Blenheim District Court on Monday.

* A 44-year-old unemployed man was arrested for wilful damage and unlawfully interfering with a motor vehicle.

He was arrested at 8pm on Sunday and is to appear in court on Wednesday.

* Two men were arrested for fighting in a public place early Saturday morning.

Police found a 22-year-old student and a 23-year-old part-time painter fighting in the car park behind the BNZ bank in Blenheim.

They were arrested at 1.30am and were released with a pre-charge warning when sober.

* Police arrested a 20-year-old man for a historic burglary.

The driver was arrested at 10.30am on Saturday and is to appear in court on Monday.

* Police arrested two men for disorderly behaviour on Saturday.

A 33-year-old beneficiary and a 25-year-old unemployed man were arrested at 8.30pm at Holdaway St, Blenheim. They were released when sober with a pre-charge warning.
