Customer leaves his trash at video shop

A Blenheim business owner is furious that a customer dared to dump a Gisborne District Council rubbish bag in front of his shop entrance.
The man was caught in the act on the store's upgraded surveillance system.
United Video store owner Dave Williamson could not believe the audacity of the male customer at 12.40pm yesterday.
"He took the rubbish bag out the boot of his silver stationwagon, walked to our front door and dropped his rented DVDs into the slot. Then he dumped his blue rubbish bag just to the side of our entrance and drove off," Mr Williamson said.
He often finds rubbish outside the door when he opens for business in the mornings, but this was the final straw, he said.
"I am sick of people littering and destroying our town, even worse when it is someone from another town.
"I wonder if he would do it in Gisborne," he said.
He hoped someone might recognise the man or the car.
"Unfortunately he was returning videos, which end up on a pile mixed with dozens of others. If he had rented them today we may have been able to figure out from the time stamp who he was," Mr Williamson said.
"The bag was filled with fish or meat, or both maybe and did not smell pleasant at all, so I understand why he wanted it out of his car.
"My business is not a dumping ground though, I'd love to give it back to him," he said.
