Destination Marlborough has welcomed two new faces to help promote the Marlborough ‘story'.
Jane Little and Jason Henry joined the promotions organisation at the end of last year.
Miss Little, from Christchurch, is the new trade development manager while Mr Henry is the marketing communication manager.
Miss Little said she was happy to have relocated to Blenheim, where her fiance is based.
"I worked abroad for five years in Melbourne and London, but am happy to be settling down back in New Zealand - somewhere as beautiful as Marlborough is an unexpected bonus," she said.
For Mr Henry the move to Blenheim has been something of a homecoming after two decades in Wellington.
"I am a born and bred Marlburian - [I] just went away for 20 years," he said, adding that he never thought he would live in Blenheim again, let alone a few blocks from where he grew up.
"Every holiday we visited family here, my children asked ‘Can't we live here Dad?' and I never took it seriously because we were city people," he said.
But the lifestyle they could have in Marlborough made the decision very natural and easy.
"It's part of my job to get media to visit our region and market the region. It's so much easier to do - the region markets itself in many ways," he said.
"Family walks along the Taylor River, exploring the Wither Hills and Conders Bend Mountainbike Park - we are really lucky to have it all right on our door step."
Destination Marlborough general manager said it was fantastic to have filled gaps in staffing.
"We have so many opportunities coming up this year that we will be able to take advantage of with the full team."
