Blenheim families had the chance to play a virtual reality game travelling the country.
The Tip Top Frozen Frenzy game was open in Forum yesterday between 10am and 3pm as part of a summer tour.
Players stood in front of a digital screen that transported them into the virtual ice cream factory.
They then had to jump, wave their hands, kick their feet and spin themselves around to hit as many of the circles that appeared on the screen as possible.
Once that was completed each participant received an ice cream and could email a photo taken of them during the game to themselves.
Harley Keen took part and said he had a lot of fun and it was easy to play. "I loved the icecream afterwards, it cooled me down after jumping around and there is a solid chocolate bit in the middle," he said.
Tip top activation manager Rory Garden was really pleased with the turnout in Blenheim.
"We are travelling the country with the game and this is the first town we've had this many parents and children queuing before we are even set up to start the game," he said. "We struggled with other town councils, but not here."
Is the region better served by having multiple events over one weekend or spread out throughout the year?Related story: (See story)
