A 77-year-old Blenheim man was taken to hospital after a car backed into him in Blenheim.
Sergeant Jason Munro, of Blenheim, said the incident happened at the High St car park about 10am on Friday.
A 41-year-old Blenheim woman was reversing out of a car park when she stopped, then hit the accelerator at speed, Mr Munro said.
She hit two cars and the man, breaking his left foot, he said.
She was likely to be charged with careless driving causing injury and is to appear in the Blenheim District Court, he said.
St John team manager Rebecca Lee said the man was treated at the scene and was taken to Wairau Hospital, in Blenheim.
