A 62-year-old Blenheim woman who suffered a minor head injury following a head-on road traffic collision on Saturday has been discharged from Nelson Hospital.
The woman was heading to Nelson on State Highway 6 when her car collided with a truck on the Whangamoa Saddle at 3.40pm.
The truck driver was not injured.
A 20-year-old Blenheim man has been discharged from Nelson Hospital after being treated for arm and hip injuries following a fall from a quad bike.
The man was riding the ATV at Okiwi Bay in the Marlborough Sounds on Saturday when he fell off just before 8pm.
He was flown to Nelson by rescue helicopter.
A 77-year-old Blenheim man who suffered a broken foot after being hit by a car remains in a comfortable condition in Wairau Hospital.
Sergeant Jason Munro, of Blenheim, said a 41-year-old Blenheim woman was reversing out of a High St car park about 10am on Friday when she stopped, then hit the accelerator at speed.
She hit two cars and the man, breaking his left foot.
A 45-year-old man who suffered serious face and chest injuries in a road accident near Blenheim has been discharged from Wellington's Hutt Hospital after undergoing surgery.
He had been flown to Wellington after being treated at Wairau Hospital's intensive care unit.
The car he was driving was involved in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of New Renwick and Brancott roads on Thursday.
The passenger in his vehicle suffered moderate face and abdominal injuries and remains in a comfortable condition in Wairau Hospital.
Sergeant Jason Munro, of Blenheim, said a 56-year-old woman driving a ute failed to give way to an oncoming car as she was turning right into Brancott Rd.
The car and ute collided head on, he said.
