Food theft from skip
Blenheim police have arrested a 46-year-old beneficiary after expired food items were stolen from a skip at a supermarket.
Constable Andrew Holdaway said the man was charged with burglary at 1.40am yesterday after being found with items from Countdown Redwoodtown on Weld St.
He was bailed to appear in court on Monday.
A 29-year-old unemployed man was arrested twice in one day. Mr Holdaway said the man was arrested at 1.30pm on Friday after he trespassed at The Warehouse in Blenheim. He was bailed to appear in court on March 10, but at 10.30pm was arrested for breaching bail by behaving inappropriately. He appeared in court on Saturday.
A 25-year-old German man was arrested for wilful damage in Renwick at 6.10am on Sunday. Police also found cannabis on the man, Mr Holdaway said. He is to appear in court on Monday.
A 37-year-old man was arrested for breaching bail conditions when he was found drunk by police during a bail check. He was arrested at 8.15pm on Sunday and was to appear in court yesterday.
