A 31-year-old unemployed woman was arrested and charged with four burglaries on Friday night, after she went to houses in Blenheim, under the pretence of seeking sponsorship for her son.
Constable Andrew Holdaway, of Blenheim, said the unemployed woman was also charged with two thefts and a charge of obtaining by deception in relation to the visits.
She was released on bail, before being arrested again at 3.10pm on Saturday and charged with a further four burglaries and breaching her police bail conditions, Mr Holdaway said.
