A 37-year-old chef was arrested for the second time in two days after wine and steak was stolen from a Blenheim supermarket.
Constable Andrew Holdaway, of Blenheim, said a man was seen taking two bottles of wine and a packet of sirloin steak at Countdown Supermarket on Henry St. The items were worth a total of $43.40, Holdaway said. The man was arrested at 7.45pm on Thursday and is to appear in the Blenheim District Court today.
He had been arrested the previous day for disorderly behaviour on Grove Rd and given a pre-charge warning.
