The royal couple arrived to a crowd of hundreds of cheering children waving their flags at Base Woodbourne yesterday.

William and Kate waved and smiled at the crowds as their driver slowed down ever so slightly for the crowds.

More than 600 children and teachers from Renwick and Fairhall schools were elated to see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Renwick principal Simon Heath said the roar of children cheering and laughter as the cars pulled into view was deafening.

"They were all exhausted by the end of the day - but loved every minuet of it," he said.

Fairhall School principal Steve Crockett said his pupils couldn't stop talking about it. "They had a blast," he said. After the day in Blenheim, William and Catherine arrived back at Blenheim airport to a much smaller crowd.
